February is almost here and we’re pretty sure that many Galaxy fans are waiting for the release date of the S7 flagship. We remind you that the Galaxy S6 was released in April 2015, but according to reports, the Galaxy S7 might come sometime in February or March 2016.

Designs

The Galaxy S7 is expected to measure 143.4×70.8×6.9mm, but it’s not sure yet how much it will weight. The Galaxy S6 measures 143.4×70.5×6.8mm and weights 138 grams. Regarding the design, reports suggest that the upcoming device will look almost the same as the S6, meaning that it will have a glass back and a metal frame.

Displays

The Galaxy S7 will feature a similar super AMOLED display of 5.1-inch that’s also found on the Galaxy S6, and will support a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels at 576 ppi. The Galaxy S7’s display will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Processors, Graphics Cards & RAM

The Galaxy S7 will come in two chipset variants and two graphics card variants, as follows:
– Chipset: Exynos 8 Octa 8890 or Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820
– Graphics Card: Mali-T880 MP12 or Adreno 530.
The Galaxy S7 will also feature an octa-core processor that will be backed by 4GB of RAM.

The Galaxy S6 sports an Exynos 7420 with an octa-core processor formed from a quad-core Cortex A57 processor clocked at 2.1GHz and a quad-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 1.5GHz, a Mali-T760MP8 graphics card and 3GB of RAM.

Storages

The Galaxy S7 is expected to be released in three internal storage variants which are similar to the ones found on the Galaxy S6: 32GB, 64GB and 128GB. Likewise the Galaxy S6, the Galaxy S7 will not feature a card slot for storage expansion.

Cameras

The Galaxy S7 is expected to come with a primary camera of either 16MP or 12MP that will be found on its rear side and a secondary camera of 5 or 8MP on the front side. The Galaxy S6 has a 16MP primary camera (on the rear side) with LED flash, autofocus, geo-tagging, auto HDR, panorama, face detection and a secondary camera of 5MP (on the front side).

Batteries

The Galaxy S7 is expected to feature a non-removable battery of 3000 mAh which is more powerful than the one that’s found on the Galaxy S6 that has only 2550 mAh.
