According to reports, there were a few technical issues with the Nexus 6P, but it still received some good reviews and it was sold pretty well and it seems that Google will collaborate with the same manufacturer (Huawei) to release the third generation Nexus 7.

The last two-generations of Nexus 7 tablets were quite popular among consumers, but we remind you that Google hasn’t “rebooted” the popular Nexus 10 and we haven’t heard much about a new Nexus 7 or a Nexus 10 for quite a while. At the same time, since the tablet sales are declining, some big companies have decided to move away from tablets, but it seems that Google is considering giving this type of mobile device another chance.

According to AndroidHeadlines, a new Nexus 7 tablet will be released in 2016 and it will be manufactured by Huawei. However, other rumors say that Google has contacted HTC to make its Nexus 2016 handsets. Unfortunately, nothing has been officially announced by the big search engine company, so we should take this news with a bit of salt.

We remind you that the Nexus 7 was selling very well back in 2012. Asus has reported that the sales kicked off with over 500.000 devices sold per month and, in the Q3 of 2012, the sales “exploded” and every month have been sold almost a million units.

According to some reports, the upcoming Android N OS will be named “Nutella” or “Nougat”. Unfortunately, there are no rumors yet about the features that this new operating system will come with.

However, when it comes to the Nexus 7 2016, we should expect it to come with a Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM, an improved Wi-Fi connectivity and support for 4G. The upcoming Nexus 7 2016 tablet will run on the Android N OS, which will be also released this year.
