HTC One M10 Will Be Released In April And Will Come With A QHD Display, A Fingerprint Scanner And An Improved Camera

In a few months, HTC will release a new flagship, but until now, we haven’t heard many rumors about its specs. Two confusing names have circulated on the internet, HTC O2 and HTC Perfume, as the code names of the upcoming One M10, but in the meantime, everything went quiet and we’ve forgot about these rumors. But, thanks to the famous leakster @evleaks, now we know more information about the upcoming One M10, which will be very similar to the One A9 handset that came loaded with Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

The One M9 didn’t have the desired impact, because it didn’t bring so many changes and was nearly identical with its predecessor in terms of design. The users got tired of the aluminum unibody design and the two lines placed at the top and bottom and hoped to see a big change, but the only thing that HTC has done was to change the shape of the camera lens, opting for a square shooter, while some variants of the device came with a different color for the frame.

If @evleaks is right, then HTC will disappoint its fans again, because it seems that the designed have ran out of inspiration and they’re obsessed with the same metal body and we won’t see any changes in the near future. The One A9 is similar to the One M9, only that it has a fingerprint scanner on the front panel, while its rear camera sits above the first line on its back. And @evleaks has suggested that the One M10 will be loved by the A9 fans, without giving further details.

But previous rumors have said that the flagship will be dust and water proof (IP78 certification), it will have a fingerprint scanner and a 23MP camera on the back, which will replace the current 20 MP shooter with an aperture of f/2.2. Also, the battery might be increased from 2840 mAh to 3000 mAh, while the processor will be available in two variants: the model with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chip will be shipped to Europe and the US, while the Asian market will receive the MediaTek setup. Finally, the screen resolution will be upgraded from Full HD to QHD.
