WhatsApp has over 1 billion monthly active users, making it one of the most used messaging mobile applications out there. Today we’re going to talk about a new WhatsApp version that was released by the developers.

WhatsApp 2.12.416 is the new BETA version that comes with some usual fixes, but you will also notice that you will be able to read the privacy policies and terms of use of WhatsApp by going to the application’s Menu->Settings->Help and clicking on the new “Terms and Privacy Policy”.

The new WhatsApp 2.12.416 BETA comes with many internal changes and the APK (installation) file has been increased by 400KB. Around 348 files have been modified, while a few of them were referred to a new function that will allow to check the security of the files that you receive on the application, while another function will allow you to share documents. These two functions will most likely be activated soon enough by the developers.

It’s good to know two new images have been added such as background.jpg and about_logo.png and one the platform.png image has been deleted.

WhatsApp 2.12.416: How To Install On Your Android Device

WhatsApp 2.12.416 is currently in BETA phase, which means that you will not be able to install it from the official Android store (Google Play Store). However, you will find it on the official WhatsApp website and manually install it on your Android device.

However, before you do this, you will need to enable the “Unknown Sources” option that’s found in your device’s Settings->Security. Once this feature is enabled, open the browser that you use on your mobile device and head to From here, you will be able to download the WhatsApp 2.12.416 APK file to your Android device.

Finally, you will need to use a file manager application to get to the location where you’ve saved the WhatsApp 2.12.416 APK file and tap on it to start installing the latest WhatsApp BETA version on your Android device.
