Today we’re going to talk about two devices that were released in 2015 by two different Asian manufacturers. The OnePlus X was released in October 2015 by the Chinese company named OnePlus, while the South Korean manufacturer named Samsung has released its Galaxy S6 device in March 2015. So, let’s see which one of these two devices comes with better specs.


The OnePlus X measures 140x69x6.9mm and weights 138 grams and has its back crafted from zirconia ceramic, offering two variants of colors: black glass Onyx or white glass Champagne. The Galaxy S6 is a bit slimmer and measures 143.4×70.5×6.8mm, it weights 138 grams and its back panel is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 4, which comes in color variants of White Pearl, Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum and Blue Topaz.


The OnePlus X comes with an AMOLED display of 5-inch that supports a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 441 and it’s protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. On the other hand, the Galaxy S6 has a slightly larger Super AMOLED display of 5.1-inch with a higher resolution of 2560×1440 pixels at 577 ppi and it’s protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4.

Processors, Graphics Cards & RAM

The OnePlus X has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset with a quad-core Krait 400 processor clocked at 2.3GHz, an Adreno 330 graphics card and 3GB of RAM, so it’s a mid-range smartphone that performs very well. The Galaxy S6 is powered by a very powerful Exynos 7420 octa-core processor formed from a quad-core Cortex A57 processor clocked at 2.1GHz and a quad-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 1.5GHz, being backed by a Mali-T760MP8 graphics card and 3GB of RAM.


The OnePlus X comes with 16GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card slot. The Galaxy S6 has been released in three internal storage variants of 32GB, 64GB and 128GB and it doesn’t have a card slot for storage expansion.


The OnePlus X sports a primary camera of 13MP that features LED flash, autofocus, geo-tagging, touch focus, panorama, HDR and a secondary camera of 8MP. On the other hand, the Galaxy S6 has a primary camera of 16MP supporting with autofocus, OIS, LED flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama and the secondary camera is 5MP.


Both devices come with non-removable batteries which have similar capacities. The OnePlus X has a 2525 mAh battery, while the capacity of Galaxy S6’s battery is 2550 mAh.
