LG Nexus 5X and Sony Xperia Z5 Premium are two awesome devices that were released in October 2015. If you were thinking of purchasing any of these two devices, you’ve come to the right place as we’re going to tell you the specifications that they come with.
The LG Nexus 5X measures 147×72.6×7.9mm and weights 136 grams, while its body is made of plastic, but now it has a rectangular shape, not a floating arc like its predecessor, the Nexus 5 2013. The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is thinner as it has only 154.4×75.8×7.8mm, but it’s heavier at 180 grams because it has a glass and metal design. The Nexus 5X has its fingerprint scanner placed on its back, below the larger circular protruding camera, while the Xperia Z5 has it embedded in the side-mounted power.
The Nexus 5X comes with an IPS LCD capacitive display of 5.2-inch that supports a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 423 ppi and it’s protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The Xperia Z5 Premium has a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display that supports a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels at 806 ppi and its surface is protected by a scratch-resistant glass.
Processors, Graphics Cards & RAM
The Nexus 5X has a Qualcomm MSM8992 Snapdragon 808 chipset with an hexa-core processor formed from a quad-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 1.44GHz and a dual-core Cortex A57 processor clocked at 1.82GHz, an Adreno 418 graphics card and 2GB of RAM. The Xperia Z5 Premium features a Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 chipset which is powered by an octa-core processor formed from a quad-core Cortex A57 processor clocked at 2GHz and a quad-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 1.5GHz, an Adreno 430 graphics card and 3GB of RAM.
The Nexus 5X was released in two internal storage variants of 16GB and 32GB and it doesn’t support a memory card slot for storage expansion. On the other hand, the Xperia Z5 Premium has an internal storage of 32GB which can be expanded up to 200GB.
On the rear side of the Nexus 5X device was placed a camera of 12.3MP that features laser autofocus, dual-LED flash, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama while the secondary camera of the device has 5MP and is found on the front side of the handset. The Xperia Z5 Premium has a better primary camera of 23MP that’s found on the rear side of the device and comes with LED flash, panorama, HDR, face detection, touch focus and more. The secondary camera of the Xperia Z5 Premium is a 5.1MP one and is found on the front side of the device.
Both devices come with non-removable battery, but the Xperia Z5 Premium has a better battery of 3430 mAh compared to the 2700 mAh unit housed by the Nexus 5X device.
