We’re pretty sure that anyone who’s a fan of smartphones, knows about the familiar Samsung flagship devices such as Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy Edge Plus. Now, Samsung is releasing a few entry-level and mid-range smartphones also known as Galaxy A and Galaxy J. Today we’re going to talk about the Galaxy J7 (2nd generation) device that was spotted on the GFXBench benchmark.

According to reports, the Galaxy J7 (2016) has joined its “brothers” and has been listed on the GFXBench website. In concordance with the information posted there, the Galaxy J7 (2016) will come with a 5.5-inch display that will support a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels, its internal memory will have a capacity of 16GB and the chipset will support 3GB of RAM.

If the reports prove to be right, the Galaxy J7 (2016) will feature a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor, an Adreno 405 graphics card, a primary camera of 13MP that will be found on the rear side of the device and a secondary camera of 5MP that will be placed on the front side of the device.

It seems that the Galaxy J7 (2016) device will run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box with TouchWiz UI on top of it, but we’re pretty sure that this OS will be updated to the Android 6.0 Marshmallow a few months later.

We remind you that the first generation of Galaxy J7 was released sometime in June 2015, and the device came with a display that was supporting a resolution of 1280×720 pixels and had only 1.5GB of RAM. Other than this, the specifications are quite similar, but there are rumors which say that the Galaxy J7 (2016) will feature two SIM card slots.

It’s not sure yet if the upcoming Galaxy J7 (2016) will sport a metallic design or not, but we should expect that the physical home button will be located below the display, as usual. As on the other Galaxy handsets, the physical Home button will also have two capacitive keys aside it, one found on its right side and another one found on its left side.

As we’ve told you above, the first-generation Galaxy J7 was released in June 2015, but there are high chances that the second-generation of the Galaxy J7 will come earlier in 2016.
