The UK video streaming market has become a war zone as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video are brawling. If you’re scouting for the best one out there, take a look down below as we detail the pros and cons of each streaming service:

Netflix is accessible to users on Mac, PC,  PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, Wii U, Wii, myriad Smart TVs, Blu-Ray players, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Roku, WD TV media player, Chromecast, Android, iOS, and Windows Phone devices and last but  not least, YouView boxes. Its adversary is also available on the following devices: PC and Mac, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, Wii U as well as Wii, Smart TVs from Sony, Samsung, LG, and Hisense, Fire Phone, Fire Tablet, Kindles as well as Android and iOS devices.

They are both available in a wide range of devices, however Netflix does seem to have a longer list, including Windows Phone devices.

How much will it cost you?

Netflix offers the Basic plan for just £5.99/month and it lacks HD videos, the Standard plan costs £6.99/month and it comes with HD content while the Premium plan will end up costing you £8.99/ month and with it. you have Ultra HD content. Regardless of the plan you opt for, the access is the same for the content and devices.

With Amazon Prime Instant Video on the other hand, you will have to pay £79.99/year.

What about content and the offline viewing option?

Content is definitely important when choosing a streaming service. With Netflix, users can see House of Cards, Orange Is The New Black, and Marvel’s Daredevil. However, the minus here is that Netflix in the UK, doesn’t really have a great selection of high-quality movies to offer.

But Amazon on the other hand comes with “Amazon Originals”. Unfortunately, their TV shows haven’t gained too much popularity among users. But on the bright side, Amazon does offer great movies and of course popular TV shows. Amazon Prime Video takes the lead here as it offers the offline viewing possibility on iOS and Android gizmos. So, even if there is no internet connection, if you become a Prime member, you can watch all the content you want. Unfortunately, Netflix doesn’t come with this useful feature.
