Today we’re going to compare the HTC One A9 with the LG Nexus 5X, which are not exactly the most powerful smartphones, nor the most premium looking. As a matter of fact, most of HTC’s new smartphones have a similar design, being made of aluminum, with curved backs and two lines at the top and bottom. The Nexus 5X is much prettier than its predecessor and LG changed the shape of its body. But more about the One A9, which Apple has complained that it copied its iPhones’ design, and the Nexus 5X, you’ll find out below.

Designs

The HTC One A9 device measures 145.8×70.8×7.3mm and weights 143 grams. It resembles the One M9, but it features a home button with a fingerprint scanner inside it. The LG Nexus 5X measures 147×72.6×7.9mm and weights only 136 grams, while its body is made of plastic and it features a fingerprint scanner on the back, below the protruding rear camera.



Displays

The HTC One A9 device comes with a 5-inch AMOLED display that supports a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 441 ppi and it is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. On the other hand, the LG Nexus 5X has a 5.2-inch IPS LCD display that supports a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 423 ppi and it is protected by the previous Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Processors, Graphics Cards & RAM

The HTC One A9 features a Qualcomm MSM8952 Snapdragon 617 chipset, an octa-core processor formed from a quad-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 1.2GHz and a quad-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 1.5GHz and an Adreno 405 graphics card. The device has been released in two RAM variants of 2GB and 3GB.

The LG Nexus 5X has a Qualcomm MSM8992 Snapdragon 808 chipset, an hexa-core formed from a dual-core Cortex A57 processor clocked at 1.82GHz and a quad-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 1.44GHz, an Adreno 418 graphics card and 2GB of RAM.

Storages

Both the HTC One A9 and LG Nexus 5X have been released in two internal storage variants of 16GB and 32GB, but only the HTC One A9 features a card slot that supports microSD cards of up to 200GB.

Cameras

The HTC One A9 sports a primary camera of 13MP that supports OIS, dual-LED flash, geo-tagging, HDR, panorama and a secondary camera of 4MP (Ultrapixel). On the other hand, the L G Nexus 5X has a primary camera of 12.3MP that features laser autofocus, dual-LED flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detections, panorama, HDR and a secondary camera of 5MP.

Batteries

Both devices come with non-removable batteries. The HTC One A9 has a 2150 mAh battery, while the LG Nexus 5X has a more powerful battery of 2700 mAh.
