Motorola has made a small visual improvement to its Moto X 2015 flagships(s), replacing the matte plastic back with a silicone back texture with diagonal lines running across its entire surface and in the middle, was placed a vertical strip that houses the camera and logo. So, according to the latest leaks, the upcoming Moto X 2015 will have its body made of metal.
The fourth generation Moto X will come with an important change. In 2015, most of the successors of popular flagships received major overhauls, ditching the old plastic backs with metal or glass. Only Motorola stuck to its old design, creating the Moto X Pure Edition and Play smartphones with a curved back and they were quite thick, but comfortable to hold. Luckily, the users were allowed to customize their devices, ordering a different color or material for the back (leather and wood are the materials available for the Moto X Pure Edition/Syle), the color of the vertical strip, frame and front panel.
Now, the latest rumors suggest that Motorola will add a fingerprint scanner, will increase the RAM capacity to 3GB, will improve the image capabilities and will use the Snapdragon 820 processor, which will be found on most of the flagships that will arrive in 2016. According to the leaked information, the processor will have an extraordinary performance.
It was revealed that Lenovo, Motorola’s new owner, will phase out the brand, not only the Moto line of smartphones, making great visual improvements to the upcoming devices. Apparently, the 2016 flagship might be called Lenovo Moto X, but other rumors say that the Moto X name will be kept. This upgrade will also affect the appearance of the phone which, it seems that it will have a metal body and a flat back, with a large protruding circular rear camera.
