HTC has released its One A9 device in March 2015 and in November 2015 it released its One M9 device. Today we’re going to compare these two devices and we’ll let you decide which one you will purchase.


According to GMSArena, the One M9 device measures 144.6×69.7×9.6mm, while the HTC One A9 is slightly taller and much slimmer, measuring 145.8×70.8×7.3mm. The HTC One M9 device weights 157 grams, while the HTC One A9 is 14 grams lighter.

Processors, Graphics Cards and RAM

The HTC One M9 device comes with a Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 chipset, an octa-core formed from a quad-core Cortex A57 processor clocked at 2GHz and a quad-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 1.5GHz, an Adreno 430 graphics card and 3GB of RAM.

On the other hand, the HTC One A9 has a Qualcomm MSM8952 Snapdragon 617 chipset, an octa-core processor formed from a quad-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 1.5GHz and a quad-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 2.1GHz and an Adreno 405 graphics card, the HTC One A9 has been released in two RAM variants of 2GB and 3GB.


The HTC One M9 sports a primary camera of 20MP that features dual-led flash, autofocus, smile/face detection, panorama, HDR, geo-tagging and a secondary camera of 4MP Ultrapixel.

The HTC One A9 comes with an inferior primary camera of only 13MP that supports OIS, autofocus, dual-led flash, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama, geo-tagging while the secondary camera is 4MP, as well.


HTC One M9 has an internal storage of 32GB and supports a microSD card of up to 200GB, the HTC One A9 comes in two variants of storage of 16GB and 32GB, but it also supports a microSD card for expansion up to 200GB.


Both devices are housing a non-removable battery, but it seems that the HTC One M9 has a bigger battery of 2840 mAh, which lasts longer than HTC One A9’s 2150 mAh battery cell.
