The Android 6.0 Marshmallow has started to be released for many devices. However, since this is an over-the-air update, it will take a while until all the eligible devices will receive it.

According to rumors, the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA update has been released for the HTC One M9 device. Currently, the over-the-air update is available for the HTC One M9 devices located in Taiwan, but we’re sure that the update will also be released in other countries and regions very soon.

According to reports, the Moto X Play is another device that is already receiving the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA Update. However, that’s not surprising, as Motorola is a company that usually releases updates for its devices very fast. It seems that here have been a few issues with the compatibility in the past, but Motorola is typically a company that releases Android updates very fast, without bugs or other issues.

BlackBerry Priv: Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA Update Not Coming Very Soon

BlackBerry Priv was released in November 2015 and it runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box. There have been rumors which said that this device will soon receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA update.

According to Ron Louks, BlackBerry’s executive, the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA Update release date for BlackBerry Priv will be announced sometime in the first quarter of 2016. So, with other words, we will get an official announcement on when the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA update will be released for this device in a few months. That being said, we should expect for a release date of the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update on the BlackBerry Priv device sometime in the second quarter of 2016.

However, let’s not forget that BlackBerry has claimed that its Priv device is one of the most secure Android handsets out there. This means that the company will need to make sure that all the security issues are fixed on any new Android OS version that they install on the BlackBerry Priv device.
