The Consumer Electronic Show (2016) is finally here, and there is no better place to be than Las Vegas.

Beginning this Wednesday 6th and running all the way to Saturday 9th, the event is expected to be showered with some of the best new devices as it sets the year in motion for what is to come in the next months.

If anything misses out during this event, expect it during the next event – Mobile World Congress 2016 – that is set to be held in February. Having said that, here is a look at what to expect from this year’s CES.

Samsung Galaxy S7

During the CES 2015, Samsung showed off the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge to some of its industry partners. We expect the same to happen with this year’s event as far as Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are concerned. The S7 has been touted to come in with new camera technology known as BRITECELL, something that is also expected to be showcased at the CES.

Samsung will also come in with some mid-range smartphones, among them Samsung Galaxy A4 and Galaxy A6.

Huawei Mate 8

Huawei is one of the most promising Chinese OEMs. The company was in fact chosen by Google to be part of the production team for the Nexus 6P, but this time, it wants to make its mark in the U.S. market with a new Huawei Mate 8. There is even further news that Huawei’s subsidiary known as Honor may be planning to debut a mid-range smartphone in the U.S. during this event.

LG G Flex 3

There have been claims that LG will not be releasing another G Flex. However, we believe that the tech giant will unveil a new LG G Flex 3 during this event. Now that there are no more problems from last year’s Snapdragon 810, a new G Flex could just be what LG needs to keep up with the upcoming devices in 2016. LG is also expected to showcase 8K TVs and other things related to WebOS.

ASUS ZenFone 3

ASUS is another Asian player that is doing marvelously in the gadgetry world. The Taiwan-based OEM is expected to come in with a new ASUS ZenFone 3 targeting mid-range consumers. There is also word of a new camera-focused ZenFone Zoom showing up during this Las Vegas event.

ZTE Nubia Z11

Asian smartphone makers are slowly gaining ground over western makers and it seems we will be seeing lots of them during CES 2016. Other than Huawei and ASUS, we also expect ZTE to showcase its Nubia Z11 bezel-less display smartphone. This device is also touted to be among the first to launch with the latest Snapdragon 820, but the same could also be said of the LG G Flex 3 just in case it is released this week.
