Samsung and Xiaomi will unveil their upcoming Galaxy S7 and Xiaomi Mi 5 smartphones this year. Today we’re going to talk about the rumored specifications that these devices will come with and you will decide which device is worth purchasing, once it will be released.
The Xiaomi Mi5 is expected to feature a 5.2-inches display that will support a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. There are also rumors which say that the device will come with the 3D Touch technology, with a pressure sensitive display.
Samsung will release its Galaxy S7 device in two variants. One of them will be flat screened and will have a diagonal of 5.2-inch, while the other variant will feature a curved 5.7-inches display. Both Galaxy S7 smartphones will support the Clear Touch pressure sensitive technology.
Xiaomi Mi5 and Samsung Galaxy S7 devices are expected to be powered by Snapdragon processors, most likely the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820. When it comes to the graphics cards, the Xiaomi Mi is rumored to come with an Adreno 530 GPU.
However, it is good to know that the Galaxy S7 for China and U.S. will feature a Snapdragon processor, while the ones that will be released in Europe, Japan and Korea will feature a 64-bit octa-core Exynos 8890 SoC one.
The Xiaomi Mi5 will probably sport a 16MP primary camera and a secondary camera of 8MP, while the Galaxy S7 will most likely come with a primary camera of 23MP that will include the new IMX300 sensor that’s developed by Sony.
The Xiaomi Mi5 is rumored is expected to come with a battery of 3300 mAh, while the Galaxy S7 will feature a less-powerful battery of only 2550 mAh.
According to rumors, the Xiaomi Mi5 will be released sometime in the first quarter of 2016. If Samsung will keep the release pattern of its Galaxy smartphones, the Galaxy S7 will be released sometime in April 2016.
