The Huawei Mate 8 has been released internationally, which means that this device will get a lot of competition from other smaller smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy S6 device. Today we’re going to talk about these two devices and let you decide which one you will prefer to use.
When it comes to design, the Galaxy S6 comes with a metal frame and its back panel is protected by Gorilla Glass 4. The device also features a fingerprint scanner that’s integrated inside the home button. The Galaxy S6 is released in four colors, as follows: blue, black, gold and white.
The Huawei Mate 8 features a full metal body with curved edges that will allow you to have a really good grip on it. The fingerprint scanner is positioned on the back panel and it’s not incorporated into the home button like on the Galaxy S6. The Mate 8 comes in four different colors such as: gray, mocha brown, silver and gold.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 comes with a 5.1-inches Super AMOLED display that supports a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels at 577 ppi and it’s protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. On the other hand, the Huawei Mate 8 features a 6.0-inches IPS-NEO LCD display that supports a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 368 ppi, which is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4.
Processors, Graphic Cards and RAM
Samsung’s Galaxy S6 device features an Exynos 7420 chipset that’s formed from a quad-core Cortex A57 processor clocked at 2.1GHz and a quad-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 1.5GHz. The two processors are backed by 3GB of RAM and a Mali-T760MP8 GPU.
The Huawei Mate 8 features a HiSilicon Kirin 950 chipset that’s formed from a quad-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 1.8GHz and a quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz. The device also features a Mali-T880 MP4 GPU and it comes in two variants of RAM capacity of 3GB and 4GB.
The Galaxy S6 comes in three storage variants of 32GB, 64GB and 128GB and doesn’t feature a microSD card slot. On the other hand, the Huawei Mate 8 comes in two storage variants of 32GB and 64GB, but it features a microSD card slot that supports a card of up to 28GB.
Galaxy S6 comes with a primary camera of 16MP which features autofocus, LED Flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, auto HDR, panorama, face detection and a secondary camera of 5MP. The Huawei Mate 8 features a primary camera of 16MP that features Dual-LED, autofocus, face detections, HDR, panorama and a secondary camera of 8MP, which is more powerful than the one found on the Galaxy S6.
