It will take a while until we will hear some official news about the Elder Scrolls 6. Pete Hines, Vice President for Public Relations and Marketing at Bethesda, has revealed a few months ago that the company is focused more on quality instead of quantity.
Hines said in an interview with Telegraph that Bethesda is doing smaller stuff and they won’t publish to scale but, instead, they are trying to publish to quality. He added that they want to make sure that the game they release is worth playing.
Even if the game has not been confirmed by Bethesda, there are already rumors about this upcoming game. In concordance with some earlier reports, the Elder Scroll 6 will be named “Elder Scrolls: Argonia and it will be based on either Morrowland or Oblivion.
According to Crossmap website, the setting of the upcoming Elder Scrolls 6 will be actually in Elsywer and Valenwood. When it comes to the storyline of this upcoming game, it seems that the gamers will be able to explore the White God Concordat and the rise of Thalmor Empire. However, we should take this news with a bit of salt, as the development of the game didn’t even start and Bethesda hasn’t confirmed any of these rumors.
Some other reports are suggesting that the Elder Scrolls 6 will actually be named Skyrim 2 and it will be the sequel of the Elder Scrolls 5, which is also known under the name of Skyrim.
According to rumors, The Elder Scrolls 6 will be released sometime in 2017, but there are high chances that the release will be delayed with 1-2 years, as Bethesda may still need to work on The Elder Scrolls Online and Fallout 4, by releasing new patches and expansions.
