The main camera has a resolution of 23MP and features such as phase detection autofocus, LED flash and 4K video capture, while the front camera is 5MP. Take Photos With All Megapixels
We’ve already told you that the rear camera can shoot at 23MP, but the resolution is set, by default, at 8MP, so when you want to crop a part of the image or when you zoom in on detail, you’ll see that it’s pixilated. This is why it’s recommendable to take photos at the maximum resolution and in order to change it from 8MP to 23MP, you’ll need to go to the camera app and tap on the three dots representing the Settings. After that, you’ll tap on Resolution and choose the new resolution. You will notice that each option has an aspect ratio beside it, which is 16:9 for widescreen and 4:3 is for a squarer aspect ratio.
Lock Your Phone Using The Fingerprint Scanner
The Xperia Z5 is a flagship which comes with a fingerprint reader, which will make your life easier, because you will no longer enter a PIN code or use a pattern to lock/unlock your device. So, instead of using one of these two methods, just scan your fingerprint, but first, you’ll need to register it by going to Apps > Settings > Security > Fingerprint Manager. In case the fingerprint reader is unable to recognize your print, then you’ll need to enter a PIN code or password, which you’ll set up in parallel. The good news is that the reader can be trained to recognize other people’s fingerprints as well.
Take Photos Using A Real Button
Software buttons for cameras are annoying, because it’s hard to hit the right spot when taking a selfie with the rear shooter. Luckily, the Xperia Z5 has a physical camera button located on the right side, under the power and rocket buttons. When half pressing it, you’ll set the focus, then you’ll press again to take the picture.
How To prevent The Screen From Going To Sleep When Reading
In order to conserve the battery life, the screen can be set to turn off after a few seconds/minutes of inactivity. The screen will turn off even if you’re reading something on the internet and you’re not scrolling down. In order to prevent that, you’ll need to enable the Smart Backlight Control by going to Settings > Display.
