We agree that it’s quite soon to ask Rockstar, the developer of GTA 5, if they are currently working on the GTA 6 game. First of all, the game is still quite new, at least for the current-generation consoles (Xbox One and PlayStation 4) and Windows PC.
GTA 5 was firstly released for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in November 2013, followed by the current-generation consoles in November 2014. Finally, GTA 5 was also released for Windows PC this year, in April 2015.
However, rumors about GTA 6 keep on coming and we want to let you know what some news websites are reporting about this upcoming game. First of all, some rumors say that Rockstar will try to bring multiple maps to this upcoming game, allowing you to go from a city to another. We’re not sure yet how it will be able to connect the cities, but if this is true, the developer will most likely make a “teleport” sort of thing and you will not be able to actually drive/fly from a city to another.
Another rumor is also suggesting that the GTA 6 will finally feature a female protagonist. We remind you that Rockstar has suggested in the past that they might consider bringing a female protagonist to the next GTA title.
Danny Ross, an ex-employee of Rockstar North (as he claims), suggested that Rockstar is currently working on the Red Dead Redemption 2. Other rumors say that the GTA 6 will actually become the new “World of Warcraft”, but we’re not so sure how Rockstar will be able to do this.
Rockstar will most likely not release the GTA 6 for the old Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 as the specifications of these two consoles are obsolete. The GTA 6 is expected to be released for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC sometime in 2019-2020.
