WhatsApp is one of the most used applications on mobile devices. This application is used by over 900 million people who are logging in daily to keep in touch with their loved ones. WhatsApp is available for many mobile operating systems such as Android, BlackBerry 10, Windows Phone, Symbian and iOS and in February 2014 it was purchased by Facebook for 19 billion dollars and since then, the application has received some new features and options. The Android version has been privileged to receive the latest features, but now, the developers are making happy the Windows Phone users as well.

Not all the new features and options were well received by the users, but a good part of these new features and options were very useful. One of the best features that this application has received is the “Voice Calling”, which allows you to make and receive calls from other WhatsApp users without paying any additional fees. However, this feature is found *ONLY* on devices that run on Android, BlackBerry, iOS and Windows Phone.

According to Plaffo, an Italian Windows Phone blog, is reported that some Windows Phone users are already receiving an update to the WhatsApp application that comes with some new features.

It seems that the new version of WhatsApp for Windows Phone is 2.12.212 and it brings some improvements and new features. You can now tag your favorite messages in order to read them later and there are also changes to the camera interface. These changes were spotted by the Plaffo community members who signed up for the private beta of the WhatsApp application.

It is good to know that now Windows Centrals is also reporting these new features. Unfortunately, there is still no new changelog for the application in the Windows Store, which probably means that it will take a few days until this new version will be released in the official Windows store.
