Microsoft has released its Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL devices. Both of these two devices have awesome specifications, but the key attraction is the Display Dock. Using the display dock, you will be able to convert these two smartphones into a full fledged PC running on Windows 10.
How To Convert Your Lumia 950 or Lumia 950 XL To A PC
First of all, you will need an external display or a TV that has HDMI port, a Bluetooth keyboard and a mouse, the Display Dock and, of course, the Lumia 950 or Lumia 950 XL. If you don’t have a Bluetooth keyboard and a mouse, you don’t need to worry, because you will be able to type and surf using your smartphone’s display.
With other words, you will be able to play Clash of Clans on your Lumia device while playing a PowerPoint presentation on the TV. At the same time, while your colleague is changing slides and explaining them in the meeting room while using a keyboard and a mouse. This means that the display dock will make the external display to work separately altogether.
The dock comes with an USB Type C port for connected the smartphone, two USB 2.0 ports and one USB high current charging port. Keep in mind that the display dock will need to be powered separately.
Using the USB 2.0 ports, you will be able to transfer files to your smartphone or put them on One Drive from your external storage. At the same time, you can charge your tablet, smartphone or other devices that use the USB port to charge.
At the same time, keep in mind that only universal applications can be opened on big external displays. So, the applications that have been made for small screened smartphones will not function with the Display Dock.
