We are nearing the end of this year and we can’t wait to see what deals will offer Samsung for Christmas. However, we won’t be talking about this subject, and instead, we’ll tell you about two upcoming flagships which will replace the Galaxy S6 and Note 5. The Galaxy S6 Edge and Edge Plus were very appreciated, so they’ll receive successors with screens that will have the same size.

This year, Samsung made a big move, changing the design of its Galaxy S6. The flagship came with a glass back built by Corning, and the fans can choose one of the four variants of colors: Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum, Silver Titan or White Pearl. The sides of the phone are covered with an aluminum frame, which is prettier and more durable compared to the plastic frame painted in silver, which was used on the previous Galaxy S5. Also, the latter device looked more like a mid-range device with its ugly plastic back with perforated dots. The Note 5 has been visually upgraded, as well, considering that its predecessor had a faux leather back and now it looks like a larger Galaxy S6 with a pencil.

The Galaxy S7 will most likely inherit the glass and metal design of the S6, and its display will be increased by only 0.1-inch, but it’s not clear if its resolution will be upgraded to 4K. However, it will come with two variants of processors, Samsung’s proprietary Exynos 8890 which will be available in some regions, while the other model will house Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 820 and it will be shipped to the rest of the world.

It’s very unlikely to see a larger battery if Samsung will make the Galaxy S7 as thin or thinner than the Galaxy S6, but without a doubt, it will be charged via the USB Type-C port, because many sources confirmed this information.

Samsung will continue to release phones with screens curved on both sides, but we really want the microSD card slot to be brought back, because some users complained that they ran out of space pretty fast, saying that they needed more than 32GB of internal storage.
