There are many people who own two SIM cards, one for personal use and one for work, but they make the mistake to buy two devices, instead of choosing a phone which support two cards. There are many models on the market with this capability and their manufacturers prefer to select weaker specs for them and sell them in poorer countries, where the minimum wage is very low. HTC is one of the companies that has been focusing on building these types of phones and in this article we’ll present you the Desire 728G and Desire 820G+ models.

Designs and Displays

The Desire 728G was recently launched in India and it’s a phablet measuring 157.9×77.8×7.8mm, which weights 153grams and has a plastic back with a matte effect and curved edges, which is available in Purple Myst and White Luxury colors. It benefits from BoomSound technology and supports Dolby Audio as well, while the screen measures 5.5-inch and has an average resolution of 720x1280pixels.

The Desire 820G+ was released in June and has a similar design, but it’s available in Marble White and Dovetail gray colors, while the dimensions are very close – 157.7×78.7×7.7mm. This means that the screen has an identical size and resolution, using also the IPS technology, however, the device is slightly heavier at 154.5grams, but the difference isn’t noticeable.

The Desire 728G received a newer 64-bit 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor, which is backed by Mali-T760 graphics and 1.5GB of RAM and has an internal memory of 16GB which can be expanded up to 2TB.

The Desire 820G+ is settling for the older 1.7GHz octa-core Mediatek MT6592 processor which is backed by the inferior Mali-450MP4 graphics and 1GB of RAM, the internal memory can be increased from 16GB up to 32GB.

Cameras and Batteries

Both devices are equipped with a 13MP rear camera with BSI sensor, f/2.2 aperture and LED flash, but while the Desire 728G has a 5MP front camera, the Desire 820G+ has an upgraded 8MP secondary shooter.

The Desire 728G is powered by a slightly bigger battery of 2800mAh, but it has a similar life as the 2600 mAh battery of the Desire 820G+.
