According to the latest reports, Google will give some free Play Store credit for anyone who owns a Chromecast or an Android TV device, however, only the users from the U.S. are eligible to receive this credit and the offer is available only for a limited period of time.
So, if you own a Chromecast or an Android TV, you will receive 6 dollars in Play Store credit, it is good to know that the users are able to claim up to two devices per Google account, so you will not receive more than 12 dollars per account.
How To Receive Free Play Store Credit
If you live in the U.S. and you own a Chromecast (Chromecast Audio is included) or an Android TV device, go to Google’s Chromecast Offers page and claim your free credit, keep in mind that you will need to connect your dongle to your Google account or else this will not work.
The same offer seems to apply to any Android TV device, with other words, regardless of manufacturer, you will still receive the 6 dollars per device. In concordance with Android Police, the Android TV devices such as NVDIA Shield TV, Razer Forge, Smart TV from Sony or Nexus Player should allow you to claim your Free Play Store credit.
The same offer might be also available in other countries, but until now we’ve seen reports only from users that live in the U.S, if you don’t live in the U.S., we suggest you to head to the Chromecast Offers page and see if you are eligible to receive the 6 dollars in Play Store credit.
HINT: We remind you that Google ran a similar promotion back in February and it’s not sure yet if anyone who claimed the free credit back then is still eligible to get more credit now.
