Supercell, the developer of Clash of Clans has released last year Boom Beach. This game is quite similar to Clash of Clans, but depending on the way you want to play a strategy game, you will have a favorite between these two titles.

Today we’re going to compare the Clash of Clans and Boom Beach based on four factors which are: Matchmaking and Single Player campaign, Build Times, Troops Management, and Walls.

Matchmaking and Single Player Campaign

We agree that the Single Player campaign is not very fun to play in Clash of Clans. First of all, for every level you will have a fixed amount of resources and even if you utilize them to the maximum, there are chances that you will lose.

However, the single player campaign in Boom Beach is more fun and dynamic. First of all, only if you win, you will get resources. In Boom Beach, you will start to see enemy players once you will get past the first few radars sand HQ levels on the world map. At the same time, you will be able to scout enemies without having to pay anything. You will not get any penalty if you skip fights that you can’t win, with other words, if your base is well defended, there are high chances that the players will not attack you.

Build Times

The build times of structures/training are a big deal when it comes to strategy type of games. If you used to play Clash of Clans, once you try out Boom Beach, you will notice that the game has shorted the build times. It is good to know that the longest building upgrade in this game is only two and a half days, while in Clash of Clans it can take weeks.

In Boom Beach, you can purchase diamonds, which are the premium currency in this game, and use it them to bypass some resources that are required for the upgrade, at the same time, the diamonds can help you to instantly build the structure.

Troops Management

In Clash of Clans, you will need to manage the barracks, train troops and try to keep camps balanced, however, in Boom Beach, every landing crafting has a number of troops, and the troops must be the same. This makes your life easier when it comes to replacing the defeated units.

We remind you that in Clash of Clans once you deploy an unit into the battle, it will not come back to your base whether it dies or not. In Boom Beach, all the troops that survived during the attack will come back to your base.

It’s very boring to upgrade, move and arrange the walls in Clash of Clans, in Boom Beach there are now walls and the base requires less micro-management. So, if you’ve got bored of upgrading, arranging and moving walls in Clash of Clans, then you should try out Boom Beach.

It seems that Supercell, the developer of these two games, understood the “mistakes” that were made in Clash of Clans. They’ve bought Boom Beach, which will attract all the players who don’t have too much time to waste on games, however, we suggest you to try both of these games and see which one you like the most.
