Google launched its new operating system almost a moth ago, which came installed on the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P smartphones, but shortly after that, the update rolled out to the older Nexuses and now, other brands are preparing to receive it, as well. So, here’s a list of all the devices that will be upgraded to Marshmallow in short time.
This company is one of Google’s older partners and everytime a new update is released, it arrives to its supported devices in maximum 90 days. The first devices that will be updated at “beginning end of 2015” will be the One M9 and M8, while the rest of handsets that have been included to the list are the One M9+, One E9+, One M8, One E9, One ME, One E8, One M8 Eye, Butterfly 3, Desire 826, Desire 820 and Desire 816. These aren’t the only HTC smartphones that will run on the new Android version and we’re waiting to hear an official statement from the company’s representatives.
Huawei will roll out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow in November to the following devices: P8, P8 Youth Edition, P8 Max, Maimang 4 (the Chinese version of the G8), G7, G7 Plus, Mate 7, Mate S, Honor 7, Honor 7i, Honor 6 Plus, Honor 6, X2, 4X and Play 4C. These smartphones will get also Huawei’s proprietary Emotion UI on top of the new software.
Honor is a “relative” of Huawei, but it will get the Marshmallow OS a bit later, in February 2016 and the devices that will receive the new software are Honor 7, Honor 4C, Honor 6 Plus, Honor 6 and Honor 4X.
Of course, LG is on the list, because it’s the VIP behind the Nexus 5 and 5X smartphones, and its flagship, LG G4 is the first one to run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, but the update will be released in phases, until February 2016, depending on the region and carrier,
Motorola is also one of Google’s favorite partners, bringing Android updates pretty fast. The devices that have been confirmed to run on Marshmallow are Moto X Pure Edition, Moto X Style, Moto X Play, Moto G 2015, Moto X 2014, Moto G 2014, Moto G 4G 2015, Moto Maxx and Moto Turbo 2014.
The previous OS update rolled out within a month to Samsung’s devices and even if the company hasn’t confirmed which phones and tablets will be upgraded to Marshmallow, YouMobile got its hands on a leaked list of devices containing the Note 5, Galaxy S6 edge+, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Duos, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note 4 Duos, Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy Alpha and Galaxy Tab A.
This manufacturer has published the list of phones and tablets which are programmed to get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The devices are Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z5 Premium, Xperia Z4 Tablet, Xperia Z3+, Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact, Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, Xperia Z2, Xperia Z2 Tablet, Xperia M5, Xperia C5 Ultra, Xperia M4 Aqua and Xperia C4.
