Will it be Nexus 6P or Nexus 5X?

This is the puzzle that many are looking for a solution to but are yet to find it. If you are in the same boat, then you have come to the right place as this article will try and tear apart these two gizmos from Google in a bid to help you choose which of the two best suits your smartphone needs.

There is no doubt that Google has presented the world with two wonderful smartphone choices as each one has its unique selling proposition, which leaves many in the middle of nowhere.

Itis a while since these two phones sprung into life, a period enough for our team of editors to get to know what these two gizmos are made of by actually using them. It is not easy to set these two phones apart on real-world experiences, however, here is some help for you to decide which between Nexus 6P and its counterpart Nexus 5X is the perfect smartphone for your day to day needs.

Here are the three fundamental things you need to consider when choosing between the two Nexus smartphones.

When you first look at the new Nexus smartphones, you will, of course, notice some obvious differences in their sizes.

To be short and clear, the Nexus 6P is larger than the Nexus 5P. The latter is even smaller, especially when pitted against some of the latest Android flagships in the handset industry. This gives this device an upper hand when it comes to handling as it is easy to carry around, hold as well as use with one hand. This is something you can hardly achieve with the Nexus 6P, but when compared to some of the plus-sized gizmos today, this Google device is a little manageable.

If you want something that is more compact and ergonomic, the Nexus 5X is your choice. However, the larger 6P, which is almost the same size as the Galaxy Note 5, is a bit less comfy. However, this is very relative, meaning that it depends loton your preference as the end user. If yes you can tolerate a larger device, the Nexus 6P is just what you should get instead.

When it comes to style, you’ll be amazed just as much. The 5X is warm and modest while the 6P is slick and nicely polished.

The former is made of plastic, something that makes it super lightweight and gives it an inviting feel. Don’t expect to look extra premium with this handset; however, the device looks sturdy enough and well-built. Usually, plastic phones can look a lot cheaper than they are; however, don’t expect this when you come across the Nexus 5X.

When you look at the Nexus 6P, it is covered in metal, which gives it the much-desired premium look. However, the metal body makes this phone a little heavier, and it feels somehow colder than its counterpart. Nonetheless, this phone looks luxurious thanks to the carefully thought details as well as well-crafted textured metal buttons.

Regarding style and specifically design, the 6P is the obvious winner here, however, if you want something that feels a bit lighter and warmer, get the 5X.

As pointed out earlier, the Nexus 6P and 5X are different in sizes, which include the screen sizes. However, this is not the only difference between these two phones’ screens.

They have two different displays, and to some, this is something that could work as a do or die factor in choosing which phone is the best between these two.

On the 5X, there is a 5.2-inch screen with 1080p LCD resolution while the larger 6P features a 5.7-inch screen size with WQHD AMOLED technology. While some may feel that the QHD part makes the 6P a much better device regarding display quality, it is also true to say that the 1080p resolution on a small Nexus 5X screen makes the display as crisp as the naked eye can see.

The differences here are about the type of screen in use where the 6P uses an AMOLED screen while the 5X makes use of LCD screen. Of course, these two screen types are in two different classes, but most “typical” users will be thrilled by the quality of each.
