Android 6.0 Marshmallow is out and it’s already rolling out to a good part of Nexus devices. Currently, it seems that the Motorola wants to release this new OS on a good amount of devices that it has manufactured such as Moto 2nd gen and 3rd gen, Moto E, Moto X 2015 and more.

The company has already revealed the devices that will receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in the near future. Here is the list:

Moto X Pure Edition (3rd generation), Moto G (3rd generation), Moto X 2014, Moto X 2015, Moto X Play, Moto G, Moto X Pure Edition in the US (2nd generation), Moto G and Moto G with 4G LTE (2nd generation), Moto Maxx, Moto Turbo.

The new Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes with many features such as the Doze application, which will automatically close the applications that run in the background while the device is in sleep mode, this feature will improve the battery life of your device and you will notice that from the first hours of use.

There is also a new feature called Android Pay that will allow you to purchase items with a simple tap instead of having to open a separate application for that. The new OS comes with Direct Share that you can use to distribute photos, links and news to your friends with ease. The Volume control got overhauled and it is now simpler than before.

As we’ve told you above, the Nexus devices have priority when a new Android OS is released. With other words, as soon as all the eligible Nexus devices receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow, other manufactures will start releasing the latest Android OS for its devices.

Motorola will start releasing the Android 6.0 Marshmallow to a part of its devices sometime in late of 2015 or early 2016.
