The Z3 was released some six months after its predecessor, the Z2, and it is very similar to it as well.
Let’s see whether it has the stuff in it to lure new customers or even be tempting enough to lure the existing customers using Z2 to upgrade to the new phone.
Design and Size
The Z series is not known for its bold or aesthetic designs, and the Z3 continues the same line as its predecessors. However, it gives a premium look, with the matte finish on the metal edges. The phone is sealed at the ports and the buttons and is waterproof. It comes with a slot for memory card and a nano SIM.
As for the dimensions, it is 152 grams in weight, compared to the 163 grams of the Z2. The waterproof feature has been enhanced, and it is dust resistant, being rated at IP65/68. This means that you can dunk it in water for up to 1.5 meters of depth for thirty minutes. The display is brighter as well. The dimensions are 146 x 72 x 7.3 mm and the screen size is 5.2 inches, with a resolution of 1920 x 1080
The Z3 comes with a 5.2 inches screen, a full HD, Triluminos panel, X-Reality screen. A quad-core processor, Krait 400, powers it, and it clocks at a higher speed of 2.5 GHz compared to the 2.3 GHz of the Z2. The primary camera has a resolution of 20.7 MP, and it is equipped with the Android KitKat, 4.4 version. The RAM is 3 GB, and it comes with an internal storage of 16 GB, which can be expanded up to a maximum of 128 GB using the microSD card. The graphics card is Adreno 330 and
The phone is poweredby a battery of 3100 mAh, Li-ion and is non-removable. As for connectivity, it has NFC connectivity, as well as Bluetooth, 4.0v; aptX and A2DP and Dual Band, Wi-Fi, 802.11 a/b/g/n/a.

The phone has a 20.7 MP rear camera with a ½.3 inches sensor. The front camera has a resolution of 2.2 MP with a 1080p for video. For video capture, it is equipped with 4K and 1080 pixels.
There’s a lot going for the Z3, as it comes with a great battery life, and the finish is of high quality. The camera is also astounding.
However, there is nothing new about the software and it is rather dated. It has very few new tricks when compared to the Z2.
The best feature of the Z3 is that it has an exceptional battery life. The camera is another stand out feature. Z3 is an excellent smartphone, but if you already have the Z2, it is not much of an upgrade. However, as a package, it is one of the nicest Xperia phones with improved finish, the premium feel, the enhanced display and the improved specs all around.
