Everyone is curious what are Samsung and HTC preparing for their fans, and they want to know how the Galaxy S7 or the One M10 will look like and what new features they will receive. The good news is that no matter how hard they’re trying to keep their projects secret, new leaks are surfacing the internet, giving us an idea of what to expect and below, we’ll tell you everything we know about the two upcoming flagships.
Samsung Galaxy S7
The latest rumors suggest that Samsung won’t wait until April to unveil the Galaxy S7. Insiders from a Chinese network Weibo said that the Korean company is working on Project Valley, which is expected to be launched in January, and which is focusing on flexible devices. These devices are rumored to use flexible plastic panels and a ClearForce pressure-sensitive display similar to iPhone 6’s pressure-sensitive 3D Touch display panel. But we’re pretty sure that the size will be retained at 5.2-inch and there will be another variant with a larger screen of 5.7-inch.
It is also rumored that Samsung will release the Galaxy S7 with three variants of processors: Exynos 8890 (Asia and Europe), Exynos 7422 (India) and Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 (North America), which will be backed by 3GB or 4GB of RAM. The Exynos 8890 was already spotted in Geekbench benchmarks and the Snapdragon 820 appeared in AnTuTu’s database.
The rear camera will be upgraded to 20MP and it seems that Samsung will use the new digital-to-analog converter called ESS SABRE 9018AQ2M, which is a very powerful audio chip.
HTC One M10
The One M9 wasn’t very different from the previous M8. The design was almost identical, the screen had the same size and resolution, only the rear camera has been upgraded and a new processor was used. It wasn’t a big success for HTC and the fans criticized the Taiwanese company. The One M10 is rumored to come later in 2016 because HTC doesn’t want to make more mistakes. The flagship will most likely come with the Snapdragon 820 processor, which won’t heat up badly likewise the 810 model. Plus, it will be 35 percent faster and will be backed by 4GB of RAM.
The screen will be increased to 6-inch and will support a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels, the camera will be 20.7MP and will have an aperture of f/1.9, the front camera will be 5MP and the battery will be a lot bigger, having a capacity of 3500mAh, which will support wireless charging. Also, there will be two variants of internal memories: 64GB and 128GB, but it’s not sure if the device will benefit from a microSD card slot.
