Upper Mid Range

Sony also unveiled the C5 Ultra along with the M5, though the C5 Ultra is slightly lower in terms of specifications. However, it makes up for what it lacks in specs with a bigger screen of 6 inches. The C5 Ultra is more of a phablet, but the specifications are not as good as the M5. The features are not equal to those of flagship devices. However, the phone reigns at the upper edge of the mid-range devices. Read on to see if this phablet is what you are looking for.

Display and Screen

The C5 Ultra comes with a huge screen of 6 inches with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. This results in a pixel density of 367 ppi. Though it is not very sharp, the images and text are crisp and will leave users satisfied. The technology of IPS LCD is combined with the Bravia, Engine 2, offering good contrast and viewing angles. Also, the phone comes with an additional mode known as Super Vivid, offering vibrant colors.

Shrink Mode

This screen size makes it ideal for watching YouTube, photos, videos and playing games. However, it can be tough to operate the device with a single hand due to the screen size. But, the phone also offers another mini mode, allowing users to shrink the display to make it 4 inches, which is easy to use with a single hand.

Comfortable Design

The frame is made of aluminum and thin bezels, making it look high end. The borderless glass in the front offers a unique look to the phone. The back is curved and is comfortable for holding, but the huge size may not fit into the palm of all users.

A MediaTek Processor, Octa Core, 1.7 GHz powers the phone and it has a RAM of 2 GB, so it does not have the power of flagship devices. However, the performance is slick, as it is combined with the Android Lollipop version, which is very efficient.

The setup is unique, as both front snapper and the rear one have the same 13 MP. This is quite a high specification for rear cameras, and it is very high for a front camera. It results in extraordinarily sharp selfies using this device. Also, it also comes in various modes and offers the Super Auto one for picking the best scene that is suitable for a specific situation. The SteadyShot enables a shake-free video as well.

As for the front camera, it comes with a wide angle 22 mm, lens. It is, therefore, possible to take pictures of a large group with a single shot. The LED flash results in flattering images.

The speaker has a capability of 95 decibels, so it is possible to listen to loud music without headphones. The ClearAudio Plus technology prevents distortion, and the xLoud feature enables an impressive bass.

The phone is a little huge and may not fit comfortably in the hand. Also, it does not come with dust resistant or water resistant features.

The C5 Ultra has a huge screen and a good camera. It is stylish and has a unique design. The battery life is good and so is the speaker.
