It seems that OnePlus intends to be more productive and to release more than one smartphone per year. Last year, the Asian mobile market welcomed the OnePlus One, which had an enormous success, and it benefited from a successor, which had a similar design, but a faster processor. The company hasn’t officially confirmed that they’re working on the OnePlus X, but the co-founder Carl Pei admitted that the firm will bring a new phone before Christmas 2015.

Until now, we’ve heard that the device will be called OnePlus Mini, but according to the latest rumors, it will be branded as the OnePlus X. This information comes from IBT and it’s backed by a teaser image slipped by Carl Pei on its personal website. The image showed an X resulted from some drawn colored lines, which suggested that the phone will be called OnePlus X.

As for its specs, it’s rumored to come with a 5-inch screen with a Full HD resolution and will be powered by a MediaTek Helio X10 octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz, which will be coupled with 2GB of RAM. The internal memory will have a capacity of 32GB, but it’s not known if it will support expansion. However, according to GSMArena, it will have a fixed internal storage.

On the back of the phone will be found a 13MP Sony sensor with an aperture of f/2.0, which will support a dual-LED flash, while the secondary camera will have a resolution of 5MP. The device will be powered by a battery with a capacity between 3,000mAh-3,100mAh, which will be charged via a USB Type-C port.

Other rumors suggest that the device will come with a fingerprint scanner, which, most likely, will be hidden inside the home button, likewise on the OnePlus 2. Also, the body will be resistant to water and will have a front-facing speaker. The price will be around 250 dollars, so it will be very affordable. We’re expecting that the OnePlus X will be released by Christmas or even earlier.

It’s worth mentioning that the device was spotted in AnTuTu’s database carrying the model number A2301 and it had the specs we’ve mentioned above, scoring 54,311, which is pretty awesome for this handset that will run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
