Motorola’s Moto G 2015 has many fierce competitors, even if they’re older, being released last year, and one of them is the Lenovo K3, with which it has a few features in common, such as the screen size and resolution, and even the chipset. But the rest of specs are different and it’s our job to tell you which phone is a better deal.

Designs, Dimensions And Displays

The Moto G 2015 has the usual curved back as its predecessor, but instead of a glossy plastic material, Motorola opted for a diagonal striped plastic back which has a vertical faux-aluminum strip which contains the camera and a little lower is the dimple with the M logo engraved inside. The Moto G 2015 is water resistant and its dimensions are 142.1×72.4×11.6mm, which translates to a total weight of 155 grams. As for the screen, it measures 5-inch and supports a resolution of 720×1280 pixels at 294ppi, it’s an IPS panel which produces colder and more realistic colors, without affecting the battery life very much.

The Lenovo K3 has a matte plastic back with curved edges and the body has a rectangular shape but it’s available in yellow, as the only color, so if you don’t like it, then this phone is not for you. The K3 is shorter, slimmer and lighter, measuring 141×70.5×7.9mm and weighting 128grams, but the screen is identical, so it’s pointless to talk about it again.

Soon, the Moto G 2015 will be upgraded to Android 6.0 Marshmallow, but the Lenovo K3 has never received any update since it was launched with Android v4.4.2 (KitKat). Regarding their internal specs, both are housing a Qualcomm MSM8916 Snapdragon 410 chipset with a quad core Cortex-A53 processor, but Motorola has a faster CPU clock speed of 1.4GHz, compared to 1.2GHz. However, the GPU is also the same model – Adreno 306 and both phones support 1GB of RAM, except the fact that the Moto G 2015 has a version with 2GB of RAM, which is paired with 16GB of storage. The other variant has an internal memory of 8GB, but Motorola provided a microSD card slot for both models, allowing the users to expand their capacities up to 32GB, the K3 has only one variant with a capacity of 16GB which can be doubled, as well.

Cameras and Batteries

Both of Moto G 2015’s cameras are more advanced and have additional features. Their resolutions are 13MP (back) and 5MP (front) and some of the features that are worth mentioning are autofocus, dual-LED flash and auto-HDR, Lenovo K3 has cameras with resolutions of 8MP and 2MP respectively, which support standard features/

The Moto G 2015 has a longer lasting battery of 2470 mAh, which it’s non-removable, the advantage of the Lenovo K3 is that it allows you to replace its battery of 2300 mAh.
