Microsoft is getting prepared to unveil its new smartphones along with the Surface Pro 4. There have been a lot of speculations about the upcoming Surface Pro 4 so let’s talk a bit about what we already know about this device until now.
The Surface Pro 4 will run on the latest operating system that Microsoft has released, the Windows 10. The device will be thinner and lighter than the Surface Pro 3 and according to cnBeta, a Chinese news website, it will be released in two size variants of 12-inch and 14-inch.
When it comes to the internal specifications of the Surface Pro 4, we should mention that this device is expected to come with an Intel 6th generation SkyLake processor which will allow Microsoft to make this device thinner and lighter. In addition, this will most likely fix the heating issues that other Surface devices currently have.
As for the storage capacity of the upcoming Surface Pro 4, you should know that it will most likely come in three variants: 128GB, 256GB and 512GB. However, there are rumors saying that Surface Pro 4 will also be released with an internal memory of 1TB.
According to DigitalTrends, the Surface Pro 4 will be released with 8GB and 16GB of LPDDR4 RAM. The 12-inch display will support a resolution of 2160×1440 pixels, while the 14-inch display will support a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels. The Surface Pro 4 will most likely feature an USB Type-C port which will make syncing and charging much faster than before.
We remind you that Apple’s iPad Pro was released to compete with the Surface line of products that Microsoft will release. However, Apple will definitely lose this “fight”, because the Surface Pro 4 is a hybrid machine, while the iPad Pro device is just a big tablet that runs on iOS.
