In four days, Google will release its new pair of Nexus devices, which have been created by LG and Huawei. In the past months, we have been teased with rumors about their specs, but Google preferred to stay quiet and to not give any statement. But their release it right around the corners and we’ve found out more information about them. In this article, we’ll compare the LG Nexus 5 2015 with the upcoming Signature Touch (second generation), which has been created by the British manufacturer.

Designs and Displays

New leaked images showed that the Nexus 5 2015 will be available in three color options: black, white and greenish blue, and their backs will be made of plastic, with curved edges and will feature a fingerprint scanner, which has been placed under the rear camera. The device will weight 177 grams and will measure 146.9 x 72.9 x 8mm. The camera will be protruded and circular, increasing the thickness of the device by 1.8mm.

The Vertu Signature Touch 2015 is not for pretentious buyers who care about the look of their phone. This device has a titanium body, forged grade 5, and has its rear panel covered with a luxurious calf leather with three rows of horizontal stitches, or a pair of horizontal stitches running down the middle, or a crocodile skin diamond pattern. The Signature Touch 2015 can be damaged that easily, but it’s not very comfortable to hold either. It weights between 225 and 236 grams and its dimensions are 155 x 74 x 10.8 mm, and on the front side, it features a wide home button.

Both phones will have a 5.2-inch screen with a Full HD resolution, resulting in a pixel density of 424, but the Signature Touch 2015 comes with a Sapphire crystal glass capacitive touchscreen.

The Signature Touch 2015 will be powered by the faster Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 octa core processor with four cores running at 1.56GHz and four cores running at 1.82GHz, which will be backed by 4GB of RAM. The phone will have an internal memory of 64GB and a microSD card slot for expansion up to 128GB.

LG has opted for the previous Snapdragon 808 hexa core processor, which will be paired with 3GB of RAM. There will be two variants of internal memories and their capacities will be 16GB and 32GB, without the possibility to extend them.

Cameras and Batteries

The Nexus 5 2015 is expected to sport a 13MP rear camera with optical image stabilization, but we’ve heard different opinions about the front camera. We believe that it will support a resolution of 5MP. As for the battery, it is said that it will have a capacity of 2700mAh.

The Signature Touch 2015 has a superior rear camera of 21MP with phase detection autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flash and HDR, but the front camera is rather mediocre, as it supports only 2.1MP. Luckily, the battery is large enough, supporting 3160mAh, but it hasn’t been tested yet, because the phone will be launched next month.
