The Huawei Nexus 6P will come with a similar launch price as the Motorola Nexus 6 phablet. Google will release it on September 29, during an event, and we’ll be all eye and ears, as we did with Apple’s event, when the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus were released. Google hasn’t confirmed the rumored specs of its phablet, so we’ll make a comparison based on what we know so far.
Designs And Displays
At first sight, the Apple iPhone 6S Plus is identical to its predecessor, featuring the same aluminum design, but Apple used 7000 series, to fix the bending problem which drew many negative reactions from the users. The new material is slightly thicker, but you won’t notice. The iPhone 6S Plus has a new color option, Rose Gold, an improved Touch ID fingerprint scanner and a Retina Full HD display sized at 5.5-inch, which gives a pixel density of 401 ppi. In addition, the 3D Touch technology provides responsive feedback, depending on the level of pressure applied to the screen.
The Nexus 6P (2015) is rumored to measure 159.4 x 87.3 x 6.6/8.5 mm and it will have a full metal body like the Huawei Ascend P8. It will feature dual stereo speakers on the front side, a bulged camera module and below it will be found a fingerprint sensor. The screen will measure 5.7-inch and will support a Quad HD resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels with 515 ppi.
The A9 processor with two cores running at 1.8GHz with 2GB of RAM is 70-90 percent faster than the A8, and it’s also faster than the Snapdragon 810 which will power up the Nexus phablet, but it obtained a higher score only in the single core test. It’s not sure yet, but the rumors say that the Huawei Nexus 6P will support 3GB of LPDDR4 RAM and will be available in three variants of internal memories of 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB. Instead of 32GB, the iPhone 6S Plus offers a variant with a lower capacity of 16GB.
The rear camera of the iPhone 6S Plus supports 12MP and comes with OIS, dual LED flash and 4K video capture, but it has the same f/2.2 aperture as the iPhone 5s. The front camera has been upgraded to 1.2MP and thanks to the Retina flash feature, which brightens up the screen up to three times, it makes the photos look more accurate.
The Huawei Nexus 6P will have a 13MP rear camera with dual-LED flash and 4K video recording, but it’s not sure if it will support OIS.
The Apple iPhone 6S Plus is powered up by a battery of 2,750 mAh capacity, whose life has been extended by 3 hours, thanks to the new iOS 9. The Huawei Nexus 6 (2015) will probably come with a battery of 3,500 mAh, which will have support for wireless charging and fast charging.
The price of the iPhone 6S Plus starts at $749. The Nexus 6 (2015) will probably cost between 600 and 700 dollars.
