Google will hold an event on September 29 and with this occasion, the company will unveil the new Nexuses which have been created by LG and Huawei. These will be the first devices which will run on the new Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box, but their specs haven’t been confirmed by their manufacturers and we have been teased with all kinds of rumors and leaks. Based on the unconfirmed information, we will make a comparison between these two phones.
Leaked images of the Nexus 5X showed that the device will feature a plastic body, will have a metal frame and a rear camera with a bulge. Below it will be placed a fingerprint scanner, which will support Android Pay and according to rumors, the device’s dimensions will be 146.9 x 72.9 x 8mm (9.8mm including the bulge of the camera).
The Nexus 6P (2015) is rumored to look a lot like the Huawei P8, which has a metal build with plastic strips, while its dimensions are expected to be 159.4 x 78.3 x 6.6mm (8.5mm including the rear camera). There will be only two colors, white and black, the fingerprint scanner will be situated below the rear camera, as well, and in addition, the device will support a USB Type-C. The LG model will have it, too.
The Nexus 5X (2015) will sport a 5.2-inch screen with a Full HD resolution (most likely), which will result in a pixel density of 423ppi. An eventual Quad HD display would give a pixel density of 565ppi.
The Nexus 6 (2015) will be a phablet with a 5.7-inch screen whose pixel density will be set at 515ppi.
The Nexus 5X (2015) is rumored to have a 13MP rear camera with OIS and laser focus, but we don’t have any solid information about the secondary camera. Some say that it will support 5MP. The Nexus 6P (2015) will probably include the camera of the Huawei P8.
Both devices are expected to be powered by Qualcomm processors, but the Nexus 5X (2015) will be weaker, coming with a Snapdragon 808 hexa-core CPU backed by 3GB of RAM. Until now, we heard that the Nexus 6P (2015) will feature a Snapdragon 810 octa core processor, because there are low chances for the 820 model to be released this year.
The battery of the Nexus 5X (2015) will have a capacity of 2700mAh, being increased from 2400mAh. The Nexus 6P (2015) will probably house a massive 3500mAh battery, but nothing has been confirmed yet.
