When the first rumors regarding the upcoming Nexus devices have surfaced, we thought that the upcoming Nexus devices will be named Nexus 5 (2015) and Nexus 6 (2015).

However according to some new rumors, the upcoming Nexus device which has been manufactured by LG will be named Nexus 5X and the one that has been created by Huawei will be named Nexus 6P.

According to previous rumors, the Nexus 6P (manufactured by Huawei) will feature a 5.7-inch display, while the Nexus 5X (manufactured by LG) will have a smaller display which will measure only 5.2-inch. We’re not sure yet why Google has decided to name these devices like this, but rumors say that the “P” from the Nexus 6P device comes from “Phablet”.

We remind you that according to some previous rumors, these two devices were codenamed “Bullhead” and “Angler”. We’re not sure what made Google to change their names, but most likely, we’ll get an explanation during the unveil event which is expected to happen at the end of this month.

The upcoming Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P will be the first devices that will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. After the Android 6.0 Marshmallow will be released, other previous Nexus devices will start receiving the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update, being followed by the rest of important devices manufactured by other companies.

The upcoming Android 6.0 Marshmallow will come with many new features such as: Android Pay and Fingerprint support, ability to save applications (including the settings you have selected for them) on the Google Drive etc.

Do you think that Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P and Android 6.0 Marshmallow will be released on September 29, 2015? Tell us your thoughts about these two upcoming devices!
