Microsoft is releasing a preview program for the Windows 10 Xbox Application. This will be similar to the application that’s found on the Xbox One console.

In concordance with Xbox Wire, the Xbox Beta Application will allow you to give a feedback of the features and enhancements that are about to come to the Xbox Application on Windows 10. This way, you will help Microsoft to shape the product based on the feedback you provide before it gets out.

We agree that this is not as exciting as previewing some early games, but the Windows 10 Xbox One companion application is becoming pretty handy, especially when it comes to features such as achievements, online gaming or console streaming.

Xbox Application – Features

Xbox Application comes with one of the features that have been requested for quite a while by the users and it’s the console text entry. This feature allows you to use the Xbox One application from your computer to input text into your console when you are searching for a game (for example).

In addition, you will also be able to see the list of friends in real time. This way, you will know if anyone from your list is online or if (s)he’s playing any game. You will also get real time activity feeds such as comparison of progress of games. With other words, you will be able to see how far your friends have progressed in the game compared to you, which is awesome.

The Windows 10 Xbox Beta application will be released later this month and we’re sure that there are a lot of Xbox owners who can barely wait for it.

The gamers that want to test out the Xbox Beta application later this month will need to visit the Windows Store and download/install the “Xbox Beta” application on their computers.
