It seems that a new version of Temasek custom ROM has been released for Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3 LTE model.
The new OS has 277MB in size and it’s based on the latest Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS. With other words, the new custom ROM comes with some new features such as: personalization options, optimization features and improved battery life.
We remind you that the Temasek Android 5.1.1 Lollipop custom ROM has been installed on a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N9005) LTE model, so make sure that you know the model number of this device before you consider installing this OS on it. To check your Galaxy Note 3 model number, go to Settings->About Phone->Model Number.
In order to install a custom ROM on an Android device, you will need to make sure that the device is rooted or else it will not work. At the same time, you should backup all your data by installing Clockwork Mod Recovery.
The USB drivers on your computers should also be installed or else the Galaxy Note 3 will not be recognized by the computer when you plug it in. The battery should have at least 80% juice left or else you risk of remaining without battery in the middle of the installation.
How To Install The Temasek Android 5.1.1 Lollipop Custom ROM
First of all, you will need to download Temasek Android 5.1.1 Lollipop custom ROM and Google Apps on your PC. After that, you will need to plug the Galaxy Note 3 to your PC via an USB cable.
Copy the Temasek Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and Google Apps zip files from your PC to the Galaxy Note 3’s SD card memory (we suggest you to place them in the root directory of the SD card).
Now, turn off the Galaxy Note 3, disconnect it from your PC and boot your mobile device “Recovery Mode” by pressing and holding the “Home” + “Volume up” + “Power” buttons.
Once your device boots in Recovery Mode, clear the phone’s memory by selecting the “wipe data/factory reset” option and clear the cache memory by selecting the “Wipe cache partition” option.
At the same time, you should select “ClockworkMod recovery->Advanced” and tap on “wipe dalvik cache” to prevent boot loops or any other errors that may occur during the installation process.
Finally, return to the main recovery screen, tap on “install zip from SD card” and select the “Temasek Android 5.1.1 Lollipop custom ROM .zip” file. Repeat the same procedure for the Google Apps zip file.
When the installation is complete, reboot the system and you should see that your Galaxy Note 3 is currently running on Temasek Android 5.1.1 Lollipop custom ROM.
