WhatsApp is without any doubts one of the most successful instant mobile messaging applications out there. Currently, the application is being used by over 900 million people from all parts of the world and it seems that there are more installing it on their devices everyday.
WhatsApp is particularly more popular when it comes to Android devices and this is the reason why the developers prefer to update the Android version of WhatsApp more frequently.
However, that doesn’t mean that WhatsApp for other mobile operating systems is not getting updated every now and then.
For example, a new WhatsApp version for BlackBerry has been released. WhatsApp 220.127.116.11 is the new BETA version for BlackBerry and it comes with a few new features as follows:
- If you receive a message from a person you don’t know, you can now report it as spam;
- You can now send messages to friends directly from the contact card messages;
- A new option called “low data usage” allows you now to lower the internet data while using the Voice Calling feature. This option can be found on Settings->Media Settings->Call Settings;
- You can now use the mute option on both individuals and group chats.
The new WhatsApp 18.104.22.168 for BlackBerry also comes with bug fixes and stability improvements.
WhatsApp 22.214.171.124 is available for download from the BlackBerry Beta Zone. If you are not able to see it, you will have to launch the BlackBerry Beta Zone and tap on Programs->Eligible.
Finally, sign up by tapping on the “Join” button and from now on, you will be able to download and install the latest WhatsApp BETA version for your BlackBerry device.
