The iPhone 6 is one year old, and in a few days, it will be replaced by a successor, but for now, we don’t know all details about it. In 2014, the preorders for the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus were sold out and one week later after they were released, 10 million units had new owners. The prices of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus haven’t been dropped since their launch, but they will be reduced once the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus will arrive. The Sony Xperia M5 was recently announced and its expected price is 400-450 dollars.

Apple was barely convinced to increase the size of its iPhones, after they were stuck with a 4-inch screen for so many years. The 2014 model pleased many fans who have insisted repeatedly to see a bigger iPhone, but Apple didn’t stop at one phone and released a 5.5-inch phablet, in addition to the 4.7-inch device. The smaller iPhone 6 came with a higher resolution of 750 x 1334 pixels, but the pixel density remained untouched at 326 ppi.

The Xperia M5 has a slightly larger IPS LCD screen of 5-inch, which supports Full HD resolution at 441ppi. However, the viewing experience is perfect thanks to the Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 technology.

Every year, Apple has a new iOS version to launch, and usually, it comes loaded on iPhones. So, last year was launched iOS 8, which supports Apple Pay (the iPhone 6 has the usual fingerprint scanner with which they can make payments). The phone came with a proprietary A8 chipset powered by a Dual-core 1.4 GHz Cyclone processor, which is baked by 1GB of RAM. As for the internal memory, it’s available in variants of 16, 64 and 128GB, without the possibility to expand their capacity.

The Xperia M5 runs on Android v5.0 (Lollipop) with 3GB of RAM and it houses a Mediatek MT6795 Helio X10 chipset with an octa-core 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53 processor that pairs with a PowerVR G6200 GPU. The phone has only one variant of internal storage and it can be expanded from 16GB to 200GB.

The iPhone 6 uses the iSight technology, which manages to produce higher quality photos than most of the current phones. The resolution isn’t very high, only 8MP, but the software and additional features do all the work. The phone has a secondary camera of 1.2MP with face detection capabilities.

The Xperia M5 has an impressive 21.5MP sensor on the back which can record 4K videos, and has 5x digital zoom, while the front camera is also awesome, as it supports 13MP.

The iPhone 6 has a small battery for the users’ needs, but it lasts long enough, even with a capacity of 1810mAh. The Sony Xperia M5 sports a 2600mAh battery and comes with the STAMINA Mode, which increases its life.
