According to rumors, Microsoft is going to hold an event on October 19, 2015 in New York, where they will release the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL devices. At the same time, there are rumors which say that during this event, the American multinational technology company headquartered in Redmond will also release the Microsoft Band and the Surface Pro 4 tablet.
A well known mobile tipster that goes by the name of Evan Bass, revealed on twitter some pictures about both the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL. The leaked image by Evan Bass comes as a reply to Brad Sams’ tweet, where he shared the photo of Lumia 950 XL also known as Cityman.
As you can see in the leaked image, there are shown the front and rear side of both the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL devices. Both phones look almost identical, with only a few differences. There is a simple Windows logo in the center of the rear side of both handsets, just below the camera sensors. The Lumia 950 is in the black color, while the Lumia 950 XL is in blue.
Unfortunately, the specifications of these two devices were not leaked in the images. However, according to some previous rumors, the Lumia 950 (also known as Talkman) will feature a 5.2-inch Quad HD display that will support a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels, a primary camera that is found on the rear side of the device and will feature a 20MP primary camera, while the secondary camera will support a resolution of 5MP, with wide-angle. The Lumia 950 will be powered by a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, it will house 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory, which will be expanded with a microSD card. The device will be powered by a 3000 mAh battery and it will run on Windows 10.
The Lumia 950 XL (also known as Cityman) will feature a 5.8-inch display that will support a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. The device will feature a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal memory that will be expanded with a microSD card. The cameras from the Lumia 950 will be found on the Lumia 950 XL, as well, but it is good to know that the primary camera will feature triple LED flash. The device will be powered by a 3300 mAh battery and it will run on Windows 10. The Lumia 950 XL will also feature a stylus in order to take advantage of the bigger screen size.
Both devices will also come with some premium features such as: iris scanner for Windows Hello, Qi wireless charging with flip cover and USB Type-c connector.
Microsoft didn’t confirm anything about these two devices, but more details about them we’ll hear in October 2015.
