During this month, Sony released a new phone in India, which was well-received, but soon, it will face a fierce competitor, the Nexus 5 2015, which is the successor of the famous flagship, also created by LG. We’ll take a look at their specs and see which one is better.

Xperia C5 Ultra

The phone has a beautiful design, using metal sides and glass on the front and rear panel, it’s available in three color options: Black, White and Mint, it weights 164.2×79.6×8.2 mm and has a weight of 187grams.

Its screen is IPS LCD and measures 6-inch, which means that it’s very hard to operate with one hand on it. Sony opted for Full HD resolution, but the resulted pixel density isn’t very high (367ppi). The screen is protected with a scratch-resistant cover and it uses Sony’s Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 technology.

The processor is octa core 1.7 GHz Cortex-A53 based on a Mediatek MT6752 chipset along with Mali-T760MP2 graphics and 2GB of RAM. There is one option of 16GB for the internal memory and by adding a microSD card, you’ll get up to 200GB of storage.

The camera on the back is 13MP and has usual features including LED flash, autofocus, HDR and 1080p video capture at 30fps, while the front camera has the same resolution and it’s accompanied by LED flash.

The battery has a capacity of 2930 mAh, which has a mediocre life (13 hours of talking time over 3G). The phone costs around 450 dollars.

Nexus 5 2015

The phone is rumored to be released on September 29, and it will come with a 5.2-inch screen with a QHD resolution (565ppi), and on its back panel, it will feature a fingerprint scanner which will have beveled edges.

It will be powered by a weaker hexa core Snapdragon 808 processor that pairs with Adreno 418 graphics and 3GB of RAM, it will sport a 13MP rear camera with optical image stabilization and it will have a thickness of 9.8mm. The rumors say that the device will be thicker in order to accommodate the massive 3,220 mAh battery.

The price will be between 300 and 400 dollars.
