More leaks are coming from Apple’s China supply chain, which say that the upcoming iPhone 6S will look almost the same as the current iPhone 6, only that it will be available in an additional color: pink. This device will be announced next month and it will have slightly better specs, but if you want to wait for the iPhone 7, then you will get a more powerful processor and a higher screen resolution.
Below, we’ll tell you more about what these phones will come with.
Most likely, the iPhone 6S will be thinner, but its design won’t suffer changes. Apple has thought about the women who love the pink color and especially for them will be released a version with this shade, but the casing will be made of the usual anodized aluminum. It was believed that the physical home button will be replaced with a virtual button to hide the Touch ID, but we doubt this technology will be implemented too soon.
The iPhone 7 will have similar dimensions, but we don’t have more information for now.
The iPhone 6S will come with a Force Touch display that will have the same screen size of 4.7-inch, but its resolution will be Full HD of 1920x1080pixels. The iPhone 7 will be able to support a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels maybe for both screen options (4.7-inch and 5.5-inch).
We well see a new A9 processor which will receive double RAM, but the next iPhone 7 will have an improved A10 processor which will be backed by 3GB of RAM. If Qualcomm won’t be able to build a more powerful Snapdragon processor, then Apple will be once again undefeated.
In the single-core test, the A9 obtained a score of 2090, and in the multi-core test, it scored 3569. The current A8 processor scored 1611 in the single-core test and 2892 in the multi-core test. According to Apple Insider, the A9X had even more interesting results: 2109 and 5101, compared to 1808 and 4526 (A8X).
Lately, we have been hearing rumors that the rear camera will be upgraded from 8MP to 12MP on the iPhone 6S, and will support 4K video recording. Optical image stabilization was added to the iPhone 6 Plus phablet, but this feature will be introduced also to the new 4.7-inch model. The front camera is rumored to be 1.8MP, a small improvement from the 1.2MP, but the iPhone 7 will have a much better 5MP secondary shooter.
While the iPhone 6S is expected to house the same memory options as the iPhone 6: 16, 64, and 128GB, the iPhone 7 is expected to ditch the 16GB variant and replace it with a 32GB one.
