According to the latest rumors, Microsoft is going to hold a special event in October, where the company will unveil some new hardware which includes the Surface Pro 4 device and the high-end Lumia devices.
It is not yet certain how many Surface Pro 4 versions will be announced by Microsoft, but according to a report, the American multinational technology company headquartered in Redmond, Washington, will release tablets that will feature screen sizes that will be bigger than 11-inch.
According to Digitimes, Microsoft is planning to release two next-gen Surface 2in1 devices that will feature 12-inch and 13 or 14-inch displays. These devices will be equipped with high-end hardware, which we’re pretty sure that will make a lot of people interested on purchasing them.
However, it is good to know that Microsoft is not the only company that’s planning o launch 12-inch tablets. Amazon is expected to bring its own Kindle tablet that will sport a 12-inch display. However, the shipments will be limited, because the giant retailer is currently just testing out the market.
Microsoft’s upcoming Surface tablets are going to compete against Apple’s Macbooks and iPads. Apple’s MacBook comes in various sizes of 11, 12, 13 and 15-inch and according to some new rumors, the American multinational technology company headquartered in Cupertino, California is going to release a 12-inch iPad Pro tablet. If these rumors will prove to be right, this is going to be the biggest tablet that Apple released until now.
Currently, the latest Microsoft Surface Pro 3 tablet has a 12-inch display, while the Surface 3 model has a smaller display of 10-inch.
According to some rumors, the upcoming Surface Pro 4 is going to be released in New York on October 19, 2015.
