In the past weeks, the developers of WhatsApp have released many new BETA versions for this awesome application. It seems that a new stable version of WhatsApp has been added to the Google Play Store and it comes with new features and improvements.

WhatsApp version 2.12.250 is the latest stable version for Android, which is currently found on the Google Play Store. After installing this new WhatsApp version on your Android device, you will firstly notice that there are new emojis.

There are also some new skin tone variations for many emojis that we’ve seen before, which you can access via a pop-up.

Along with the new emojis that have been added, you will notice the “Spock salute” emoji, the “middle finger” emoji and many other LGBT friendly emojis. You will also notice that there are some new custom chat options which allow you to set specific tones and light colors for a specific chat window, mute a conversation for a period (or forever) and even mark conversations as read or unread. Another new option is the one that allows you to lower the data consumption for the Voice Calls.

Unfortunately, the new WhatsApp 2.12.250 APK doesn’t come with the Google Drive backup feature.

However, we’re pretty sure that soon enough, this new feature will be added to an upcoming STABLE version.
