BCI researchers from all over the world will come together this summer for the 5th International BCI Meeting. The triennial brain-computer interface meeting series (1999, 2002, 2005, 2010, and 2013) is a unique event in providing an interdisciplinary, collaborative environment that brings together representatives and students from all fields involved in BCI research. The fifth international meeting will be held at Pacific Grove, California from June 3rd – June 7th, 2013. Researchers from all over the world like USA, China, Austria, Germany, and many others come together and host a series of workshops and presentations in several topics within the field.
The meeting will include presentations, poster sessions by both students and senior researchers, BCI demonstrations, and workshops. Some of the areas of BCI presented at this meeting are Neuroscience, Signal Processing/Machine Learning, Psychology (clinical/experimental), Neuroprosthetics/Robotics, Sensor Engineering etc.
The attendees will have the opportunity to meet other BCI investigators, get to know the work they are working on, which may lead towards future collaboration. Further, the attendees will meet the winners of the Annual BCI Research Award 2013 in which the ceremony will be held at the meeting.
In addition, the 10th BCI2000 Workshop will be a satellite meeting collocated with the BCI Meeting. This will be held at the same location from June 2nd – June 3rd, 2013. BCI 2000 is a software platform for BCI research and other neurotechnology applications that depend on real-time data acquisition, feedback, and processing.
This workshop is available for the first 42 people that register. If you would like to learn more about this satellite meeting, check the official page at bcimeeting.org/2013/satellitemeetings.html.
