Today Square Enix released a new trailer for their upcoming, thought-controlled videogame, MindJack available on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 later this month.
MindJack is a unique online shooter that will push the boundaries of the third-person genre with its mind control abilities, and co-operative gameplay. The game will effectively blur the line between traditional single- and multi-player gameplay, creating a campaign experience where non-playable characters can, at any moment, transform into human-controlled allies or gun-toting foes.
Set in 2031, MindJack throws players into the life of Jim Corbijn, a field agent with the Federal Intelligence Agency. As Jim becomes embroiled in a clandestine war between governments and corporations, he employs futuristic technology – a mindset we suppose – that allows him to take control of other characters and machines within the game world by “hacking” into them.
Mindjack will be released in North America on January 18, 2011, followed by Europe and other PAL territories from 21st January, 2011.and finally in Japan on January 27.
The trailer is quite foolish, but enjoy:
