Nintendo’s arguably one of the most ambitious video game of all time, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, has received universal approval from both critics and audiences.
The runaway open air adventure that went viral with insane number of downloads is about to get more thrilling.Nintendo is readying an Expansion Pass of two DLC packs for the hit with the first piece slated for this summer while the second part will be dropping later in the year.
While information about the second Expansion Pack is still in the limbo, details of the first pack is right here direct from Nintendo. The game is getting more ambitious with this pack named The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild-The Master Trials that will be available for both Nintendo Switch and Wii U.
However, you won’t be getting The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild-The Master Trial alone because two packs come in bundled for $19.99.
Thepack adds, among other incredible features, the Trial of the Sword and a more exciting but challenging Hard Mode, which are the major highlights of the first content.
Trial of the Sword
Cave of Trials Challenge has been re-mastered into Trial of Sword. It is more of a series of cage matches where enemies emerge one after another or from room to room. A total of 45 rooms should be completed but there is a catch: Link starts with neither an armour nor weapons.
If you successfully beat all the enemies, Master Sword will power-up and remain permanently glowing.
The other key feature is the Hard Mode. If you are looking for a challenge in the already thrilling The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, then this is the treat you’ve been waiting for. In this mode, enemies’ power has gone a scale up, Red Bokoblins changed to Blue, and Blue replaced with Black and so on. Besides, you might come across ranked up foesthat you wouldn’t ever find in the standard play.
There is need to act quickly as these highly-ranking enemiesslowly salvage health, have better eyesight and hearing so they spot you a little faster as you advance making it hard to stroll them. There are also outlying enemies living in planks held in the air by balloons scattered across the world. If you manage to reach these planks, you get to battle them and gather treasure.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’s Hyrule is such a vast world that it becomes so hard for players to trace back places they have visited. That’s why Nintendo has come up with Hero’s Path Mode to assist gamers in following their progress. The mode documents every step gamers take and denotes that path in green streak on the map. Your movement history will be traced and documented up to the past 200 hours of play. This feature also helps in identifying locations players have not visited in this boundless world. It also comes in handy with its retroactive ability.
Nintendo is also bringing a new headgear, Korok Mask, hidden somewhere in Hyrule to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. With Korok Mask in position, it will shake the controller implying there is a Korok somewhere around that you need to collect.
With this DLC update there will be a new box containing Travel Medallion somewhere in the world. Travel Medallion allows you to build a temporary fast travel location in the map where Link can take himself to anytime. Only one point is allowed at a time.
Finally there is a grab-bag packed with classy pieces of equipment based on previous characters and titles in the popular The Legend of Zelda series, including high quality life upgrades and makeups improvements. Not forgetting new impressive clothes;Midna’s headpiece, Phantom and creepy Tingle outfit, and Majora’sMask that let you party like never before.
Elsewhere, from today fans will be able to experience The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in nine audio languages including Japanese, French, English, Spanish, German, Italian and Russian. On screen text, however, will be written in another language exclusive to Nintendo Switch.
