Xiaomi is set to make its debut on United States markets pretty soon with some leaks of a presumably Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 being released over the internet. Rumor has it that the Chinese tech giant is working on the release of Redmi Note 4X which is an upgrade from the Note 4 phablet that was released in August 2016.

The Redmi Note has just received FCC certification in the U.S for a Snapdragon powered device and according to the leaker it might be a Redmi Note 5 or a Qualcomm powered Redmi Note 4. Being expected to be unveiled pretty soon, the Note 4X is rumored to bear the same Snapdragon chip along with a front-mounted fingerprint sensor which clearly indicates it is clearly not meant for US markets.

Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 5 is believed to come equipped with a 5.5 inch display covered by Coring Gorlla Glass 4 and have 2016102 as its model number as stated by the FCC. It measures 150 x 75 mm and judging by this it is a little bit smaller than the Redmi Note 4.

The Chinese tech giant’s Redmi Note 4 is powered by a MediaTek Helio X20 processor paired with a whopping 4.100 mAh battery which supports fast charging. The future model of the Note series will come sporting a Snapdragon 653 SoC which lacks fast charging and will be powered by a 4.000 mAh battery.

Regarding storage space it will come in two variants of 32 and 64 GB with 4GB of RAM. Software wise, it will come with Android 7.0 Nougat right from the factory tweaked by MIUI 9.0. It will also have a USB Type-C connection, 4G VoLTE and Wi-Fi 802.11n.
